How It All Started
As the eldest of 12, Lalitha Swaminathan was entrusted with feeding her large family. Though she was only nine, her love for cooking and natural aptitude made cooking a part of her life. Over the long span of 63 years, the taste of her cuisine has garnered a lot of appreciation and devoted fans.
Natural Transition To Entrepreneur
Born into a family of entrepreneurs, Lalitha was bitten by the entrepreneurial bug when she turned 50. She wanted to make easy-to-use ingredients so everyone could cook delicious food. She started making spices and distributing them around Chennai.
She never skimped on raw materials and was meticulous in preparation methods. Over the years, her initial ‘Glosuvaai’ brand started to have loyal followers, and her products travelled across the sea into foreign shores.
Backbone Of The Operations
- Lalitha Swaminathan does not want to rest on her laurels but is keen to see her brand grow with more products and reach more customers worldwide.
- Nothing pleases her more than hearing her customers say, "I love your spices, Maami." Lalitha Swaminathan is and will always remain an inspiration for her entrepreneurial kids, friends, family, and the community. Glosuvai - the brand created by Lalitha, has evolved into SVNR Foods and includes many more items like gluten-free and healthy options for the discerning consumer.
- Her dreams are now being carried forward on a bigger scale by her family, who want to do her proud and stay true to her mantra of “Uncompromised Quality & Authentic Taste.”
